A space to be seen, heard, and understood as yourself
Invest in your relationship with yourself
Hi, I’m Alix. I offer counseling for people who find themselves moving through the world at angles that don’t always align with the dominant narrative around us. Living this way can be meaningful and powerful — and it can also bring anxiety, depression, stress, and a deep sense of disconnection or exhaustion.
Therapy can be a place to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and build ways of coping that are more sustainable and more aligned with who you are.
Who would fit here?
…you would
We may be a good fit to work together if you are:
Feeling overwhelmed, anxious, depressed, or burned out
Living with the impacts of trauma or ongoing stress
Navigating identity, relationships, or major life transitions
Part of the LGBTQIA+ community or otherwise living outside dominant norms
Looking for therapy that is affirming, trauma-informed, and collaborative
Learning new ways of coping and moving through life can be difficult. Reaching out for support is worth it.
Areas of Support
I offer individual counseling for adults, with experience supporting people around:
Anxiety, depression, and stress
Trauma and C-PTSD
Identity development and exploration
LGBTQ+ and gender non-conforming care
Neurodiversity
Chronic illness, pain, and disability
Work-related stress and “therapy for therapists”
My work is grounded in a trauma-focused lens and draws from:
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness and compassion-based practices, attachment theory, dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and somatic experiencing.
How I work
I approach therapy as a collaborative, relational process grounded in respect, curiosity, and care. I show up as myself and work hard to create a space where you can hear yourself as valid and valuable.
Therapy here is not about fixing you. It’s about:
Understanding what you’re carrying
Making sense of how past experiences and present stressors shape your life
Building tools that actually work for you
Supporting movement toward greater clarity, self-trust, and connection
This work can be challenging, and I engage with kindness, humor, and respect for the full complexity of who you are.
Gender Affirming Care
I am a trans queer clinician and am deeply committed to affirming care for LGBTQIA+ individuals and communities. I am WPATH-trained and work with people across all stages of their gender journeys.
When appropriate, I provide gender-affirming letters of support for medically affirming care.
I also enjoy working with people in non-traditional relationships and family structures, including polyamory, kink/BDSM, and other forms of consensual relational exploration.
